## Practicum and career support

Practicum is the standard work-experience component described for our diploma programs. It is not presented as a separate co-op stream in the current catalog.

Depending on the program, a practicum may be a required full-time placement or practical project. Examples include:

- 160-hour practicums in Community Support Worker, Accounting & Payroll Administrator, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, and Network Security Technician
- Data Analyst includes a three-week practicum
- Educational Assistant includes four weeks
- Early Childhood Educator II includes 13 weeks

Our Workforce Team helps coordinate training-related placements, match placements to your strengths and career goals, and support resume development, interview preparation, networking, and job searches.

Diploma placements may take place with offices, organizations, clinics, hospitals, pharmacies, schools, childcare centres, community organizations, recreation facilities, or technology employers, depending on the program.

A practicum host may become a future employer, but placement does not guarantee employment.
