Early Learning and Childcare Certificate
Our Early Learning and Childcare Certificate prepares you for Alberta Level 2 Early Childhood Educator certification, also referred to as ECE II.

English Language Certificate
Our English Language Program helps you build reading, writing, listening, speaking, grammar, vocabulary, and presentation skills for school, work, and everyday life. The program is accredited by Languages Canada.
Placement levels
You can enter at one of five levels based on an available language score or Robertson’s internal placement test:
- Foundation English: IELTS below 4.5
- Pre-Intermediate English: IELTS 4.5
- Intermediate English: IELTS 5.0
- Upper-Intermediate English: IELTS 5.5
- Advanced English: IELTS 6.0
Equivalent entry benchmarks are also provided for CELPIP, TOEFL iBT, TOEIC, Duolingo, and Pearson Test of English.
How you will learn:
- Instruction includes real conversations, videos, reading, writing, and group activities.
- You can study online through Brightspace or attend on-campus classes in Calgary or Winnipeg, subject to availability.

Our micro-courses are shorter than full certificate or diploma programs.
How micro-courses work:
- Online, self-led learning through Brightspace with 24/7 access
- You set the pace and begin around your existing work or professional schedule
- You receive an electronic certificate of completion
- Some courses also provide a digital badge
Access length:
- 10-hour courses include three months of access
- Courses longer than 10 hours include six months of access
Credit transfer:
- Some micro-courses may transfer toward a related Robertson diploma.
- 10-hour courses are not eligible for credit transfer.
